You will learn forge safety, tool terminology and use, how to swing a hammer and use tongs without injuring yourself, or others, basic forging techniques, basic grinding techniques.  Design, blade geometry, choosing steels, grinding, heat treating, tempering, finish grinding, guards, handle construction, sharpening and information on sheath construction.

Expect to spend 3-4 hours as there is a lot of information to be shared.
